PACKAGING:

All artworks are carefully and securely packaged using protective, purpose-designed materials to ensure your artwork arrives in pristine condition. Every order is quality checked prior to dispatch and includes tracking once shipped, so you can follow your delivery every step of the way. If you have any questions about your delivery, our friendly team is here to help via phone, email or chat.


RETURNS:

If you receive a damaged or faulty item, log into your account, navigate to the Resolution Centre, submit a dispute with the correct order details, and email clear photos of the item and its packaging. Please report any damage within 30 days of delivery so we can assess and resolve the issue promptly—once reviewed, a replacement or store credit will be processed within 7 days.


If you’ve changed your mind, notify us within 30 days of delivery and follow the return steps. Items must be returned unused, in their original packaging, and in original condition. Please note that custom size items and custom wallpaper are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. The customer is responsible for the item until it is received back by us; if an item is damaged during return shipping, we may refuse the return or reduce the store credit accordingly.


Change-of-mind returns are issued as a store credit for the product value minus the original shipping fee. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, and credits are provided within 7 days once the item is received and inspected.

Janganpa Jukurrpa Canvas Art Print - An abstract and contemporary Indigenous Aboriginal artwork that features a collision of colours, overlaid with circles and dots, in a muted and earthy colour palette of warm red, blue and yellow.


This contemporary Indigenous Aboriginal artwork tells the story of the common brush-tail possum Dreaming, and travels all over Warlpiri country. The story begins on a big hill, Mawurrji, west of Yuendumu and north of Pikilyi (Vaughan Springs) in the Northern Territory, where a group of 'janganpa' (common brush-tail possum) lived. Every night they set out in search of food, their travels taking them far across the land. On their search for water at Ngarlkirdipini, they happened upon a Nampijinpa woman living with her two daughters.


After initially agreeing to give her daughters in marriage to one of the Jupurrurla janganpa, she later decided to run away with them instead. The angry Jupurrurla pursued the women, tracking them to Mawurrji hill where he killed them with a stone axe. There are now rocks on the hill where their bodies once laid.


In Warlpiri paintings traditional iconography is used to represent this Jukurrpa. 'Janganpa' tracks are often represented as 'E' shaped figures and concentric circles are used to depict the trees in which the 'janganpa' live, and also the sites at Mawurrji.


Steven Nelson has developed his own characteristic style in the depiction of the Jukurrpa, he is not using traditional iconography, his abstract representation of his dreaming is an exploration of the relationship of colour and form to depict the landscape and the story associated to his Jukurrpa.

What is the difference between canvas and paper prints?

Both options use premium materials, but they offer different finishes:


Canvas prints are printed on polycotton artist canvas using archival inks, then stretched and gallery-wrapped over a 38mm timber frame. The image continues around the edges, creating a seamless, painterly, museum-style finish.


Paper prints are Giclée printed on archival-quality fine art paper, including 100% cotton rag options, producing sharp detail and a wide colour spectrum. They are typically framed behind UV-protective acrylic for a clean, refined, gallery-style look.

What is the difference between canvas options?

We offer three canvas options to suit different styles and spaces:


Stretched Canvas (Ready to Hang)

  • Printed on premium polycotton artist canvas using archival inks for rich, long-lasting colour
  • Professionally stretched and gallery-wrapped over a 38mm timber frame- Image wraps around the edges for a seamless finish
  • Arrives ready to hang with pre-installed D-rings and hanging wire


Framed Canvas (Shadow Box Frame)

  • Stretched canvas set within a solid timber shadow box frame
  • Features a 5mm gap between the canvas and frame, creating a refined floating effect
  • Frame moulding: 10mm wide × 55mm deep
  • Adds approximately 40mm to the overall artwork size
  • Arrives ready to hang with D-rings and wire


Rolled Canvas (Unframed)

  • Printed on durable, museum-quality matte polycotton canvas using archival inks
  • Delivered rolled in a protective tube- Includes a 60mm mirrored edge to allow for gallery wrapping
  • Not ready to hang and requires stretching or framing
