Girra-Warra Canvas Art Print - A contemporary Indigenous Aboriginal artwork that features groupings of concentric circles overlaid and outlined with intricate lines and dots, in a wonderfully considered colour palette of grey and pastel pink and orange.
This artwork represents the taking of the rightfully owned land of the Wiradjuri peoples. It shows the Murrumbidgee River and both the North side of the river and what is now Wagga Wagga City. These places are represented in the circles. Represented to the right of the image in the hills, are the generations of Indigenous Aboriginal peoples who have lived upon this land, and that were displaced. Each hill represents one generation. On the left of the piece, is the founding generation of Europeans. The colours were intentionally chosen to reflect the sadness of the Indigenous Aboriginal people, and the mourning of them. It is an intentionally dull piece to show the grief of the Wiradjuri peoples and all of the other mobs who faced displacement upon white man's arrival.
Urban Road is committed to investing a stream of ongoing financial support back to our artist community. For every artwork sold, a percentage of the sale price goes directly back to the artist.

How do I know which size to order?
Start by measuring the full width and height of your chosen wall. Because not all wall edges, ceilings, and cornices are perfectly straight or level, we'd recommend measuring to a few different points along the top and side of your wall, and then working off the largest measurements of each. Once you have your width and height, use this to choose the nearest possible wall size from the options listed. If your wall falls between sizes, then always round UP to the next largest size.
