How do I know which size to order?

Start by measuring the full width and height of your chosen wall. Because not all wall edges, ceilings, and cornices are perfectly straight or level, we'd recommend measuring to a few different points along the top and side of your wall, and then working off the largest measurements of each. Once you have your width and height, use this to choose the nearest possible wall size from the options listed. If your wall falls between sizes, then always round UP to the next largest size

How do I prepare my walls?

Prior to installation, we recommend using 140 grit sandpaper to sand down any bumps or imperfections on your walls. With a damp cloth, wipe down the entire surface, ensuring the wall is clean, smooth and dry. Avoid using chemical cleaners prior to hanging your wallpaper, as certain kinds of chemicals can cause the adhesive to fail. Allow any freshly painted walls a minimum of 30 days to dry before installing your wallpaper, and ensure that the paint you've used does not have a Teflon or silicone base, as this will prevent proper adhesion. Where can I apply Wallpaper or Murals?

Our wallpaper is suitable for most walls and has been tested and is recommended for use over many kinds of paints including high gloss, semi-gloss and satin paints. Please consult our Peel and Stick Installation Guide prior to installation to ensure that your wall is properly prepared.


Our wallpaper will work best on smooth, gloss- or satin-painted walls. If your walls have recently been painted, you must allow a minimum of 30 days for them to dry prior to installation. We do not recommend using our wallpaper on highly textured surfaces, as this might lead to texture showing through, and inhibit adhesion.


While some other Peel and Stick Wallpapers on the market are translucent in appearance, we are proud to say that our product is completely opaque. It is recommended, however, that the wallpaper be installed on light coloured walls, as especially dark or vibrant variations may lead to an alteration in the appearance of your wallpaper design. If you are worried about your wallpaper adhering correctly to your walls, or what the colour will look like, we highly recommend ordering a sample first.


It is not recommended to hang wallpaper in areas of high temperature or high humidity, such as a bathroom or laundry, as this may inhibit the performance of the adhesive and cause the wallpaper to deteriorate.

What is the Wallpaper made from?

Urban Road's Peel and Stick wallpaper is made from a premium, opaque fabric texture polymeric calendered vinyl, designed for interior residential and light commercial use. The thick face construction of the vinyl is tough and scuff-resistant, and provides added stability to the wallpaper, reducing the application time.


Our Peel and Stick wallpaper is supplied in 61cm wide panels. The finished design will include a 10mm overlap, marked out on each panel with a dotted line, making lining up the pattern a breeze.


Urban Road's Paste the Wall wallpaper is made using a high performing, scratch resistant PVC-free non-woven paper. Non-wovens are earth friendly, and 100% vinyl-free. Designed for interior use, including bathrooms and high traffic commercial areas. It is mould, mildew and fungal resistant, which makes for easy hanging and removal.


Our Paste the Wall wallpaper is supplied in 120cm wide panels, which includes a 10mm overlap. This wallpaper product is designed to be used by professional installers ONLY, using the double cut on the wall installation method.

How do I know which type of Wallpaper to use?

Our Peel and Stick wallpapers are easy-to-install, removable* and repositionable, offering a beautiful, DIY wallpaper solution for both renters and home-owners alike. Our Paste the Wall wallpapers are recommended for professional use only, and are designed to be installed using the double cut on the wall installation method.

Can I get a test sample before ordering?

Absolutely! Ordering an A4-sized sample of your desired Wallpaper is a great option if you are having difficulty choosing which design sings to you the most.

Can I use your wallpapers in high-moisture areas like bathrooms?

Yes, our Paste-The-Wall Wallpaper option is perfectly suitable for high-moisture areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. These wallpapers are moisture-resistant, but we recommend confirming suitability with our team for specific designs that can endure humid environments. Contact us here.
